For Doctors of Chiropractic…
“The Modern Physician
Letter™”
Dear Doctor! A friend of mine, Dr. Mike Marasco, has discovered that by simply having the medical doctors in his area aware that he was possibly able to help them with their frustrating cases, they were more willing to send him their patients with no bias or insecurity at all…especially if it makes life easier for them. Mike said he still occasionally ran into an “old timer” M.D. with old outdated beliefs and misconceptions, but nearly all the MD’s these days are more than willing to listen to a better solution if one exists. Most importantly was that he discovered you didn’t need to become friends with M.D.’s; shmooz with them at meetings, going on hospital rounds, visiting them at their office, taking them out to lunch, or any labor intensive stuff most chiropractors have been taught.

There is also a 100+ page “Ice Breaker” type book that is sent to each M.D. as a first mailing which was written by Dan Murphy, D.C. to create goodwill between you and the M.D.’s on your mailing list! The M.D.’s should keep this “Ice Breaker” document and refer to as a reference text on joint and tissue repair along with conservative management of some of the most common musculoskeletal problems both D.C.’s and M.D.’s see. (As a subscriber you’d receive the book as well!) When Mike explained what he will be doing with Dan Murphy and others to me, I honestly thought it was an ingenious idea. Here’s why…#1 – The implementation of this strategy would not be expensive for you; no T.V. or newspaper ads, just a specialized letter to 20 or more M.D.s in the area around each D.C.’s practice #2 – Little effort on your part: You don’t do anything but fax to the office of “The Modern Physician Letter” the names and addresses of the 20 or more M.D.’s you’d like to reserve. (And you can add or delete names off the list anytime you want.) #3 – The content would be written by Dan Murphy, D.C. or “Dan Murphy” types; experts who know research, know how to communicate to M.D.’s, know how M.D.’s think, etc.So in summary, you would have exclusive control over the mailing of “The Modern Physcian Letter™” to the M.D.’s on your list.
If you would like to be the only
D.C. to be providing “The Modern Physician Letter™” to the M.D.’s of
your choice, fill out below and if your area is available, Here’s What Else You Will Receive!...

“I have been practicing 18 years and in the short time since I have been using the Modern Physician Letter, I can honestly say that my understanding of wound repair healing and how chiropractic adjustments affect my patients has improved greatly. As a direct result, I have also developed a stronger interest in medical research, in part because it gives me more confidence when dealing with local medical doctors. For me, that makes practicing more fun!” – Dr. Tom Arnold, D.C. “I really like The Modern Physician Letter. The contact and the way it is written is easy to read and yet sounds very professional. It definitely portrays the MD’s that I value research and am on top of my game when it comes to management and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. I have been mailing the letter for several months and although this is not something I would only rely on to build my practice, it is yet another tool. I have been getting 2-4 new patient referrals each month and I expect that to grow as these patients progress through their treatment and we have them follow up with a referring MD. I expect when the MD sees the positive clinical outcome and sees I am also “ in the game “ by referring them back and sending a report with each evaluation that I will gain more and more of their trust and obtain even more referrals. My strategy is to get 10 new patient referrals per moth thru this method as part of my marketing plan. This alone will produce almost $500,000 in additional revenue because these patients WILL start care because their MD sent them and then you will have to factor in 3-5 additional new patients per month that these 10 will also refer and the 1-2 that those will refer. After all is said and done, we should get 15-20 NP per month from this strategy. I am excited to build this relationship because although my strategy only plans for 10 NP a month, I can see it being a much bigger part of our NP stream in the future.” -Dr. Shannon L. Bone “Last week I was on the phone with a neurosurgeon about a patient I had recently referred. During our conversation he commented on the Modern Physicians information he had been receiving. The conversation then quickly flowed to the frustration he has in improper referrals he receives from General Practitioners every day. His examples included a (-) CT scan for a chronic headache patient that is loaded with trapezius and occipital trigger points with aberrant motion at C1( - ) C4. what does the general practitioner think he is going to do? Remove what? Build what? Stabilize what? The guy needs to be manipulated. We both agreed that if G.P.s were educated on what we actually do and the results achieved the amount of unnecessary drugs and unhappy patients would reduce greatly. The conversation then went into the how and whys medical schools or “pharmacy schools,” as he calls them now, do not educate the doctors on our data. “A lot of the research in the Modern Physicians Letter has been performed by neurosurgeons and neurologists.” The next day I expedited his referral as did he mine the week before “Bladder Dysfunction.” Both patients are doing great now. Unfortunately, it took patient “A” 2 years and piles of drugs to get referral to my office; and patient “B” a single day to be referred to the neurosurgeon. This is the importance of this letter. It is our responsibility to educate the public. Not all doctors will read it, who cares!? You will know who they are. Adjust your list and move on. Build the bridges. There are doctors looking for you more than you are the doctors. And if they do not with for more knowledge are they truly a doctor?” - Dr. Andrew Reno, D.C. “Information Marketing Consultants Inc. have
put together a system that I have wanted to take action on for 7
years, but not gotten around to it. The best thing about it is that
I DO NOTHING! I pick the doctors I want to receive the information,
and they do everything else… soup to nuts… so to speak, and as Ron Popeil says “ Set It and Forget It!” They really have made it that
simple! Dr. Dan Murphy has a gift of taking complex musculoskeletal
issues, and discussing them in a way that M.D.’s will appreciate.
This systems establishes rapport, which is the way to get local
doctors to refer the patients that they can be helped. This program
gets my foot in the door with doctors that my patients are seeing
anyway, and I go from being an “ Annoying Pest, to a Welcome Guest”.
When a patient gets referred in by one of the M.D.’s, I have instant
credibility as the expert, and the patient is pre-positioned to say
YES! Every M.D. should be getting this letter from their local
Chiropractor. Thanks again for putting this together, and making it
so effortless, easy and affordable.”
“I was highly
skeptical about your Modern Physician Letter from the very start.
Having my practice located near an area hospital, in a rather
sophisticated metropolitan area, where the medical community has
dominated for decades, I have found it quite difficult to establish
ha referral relationship with individual medical doctors. What could
your letters possibly do to dent this formidable medical
façade? However, since your letters appealed to me, I decided to
give your program a 6-months trial. For the first four months, I let
the letters stand on their own, with absolutely no contact or follow
up by me ( as I said, I was “skeptical”) . Only one doctor rejected
the letters. Last month, I received one call from a recipient, who
had a patient to refer to me, but wanted to meet me first.
Naturally, I complied – and bought the lunch – and – got the
patient! Since that time, I have begun a campaign of calling the
other doctors. To my delight – and surprise- most knew my name and
were receptive to meeting. There is no question that the Modern
Physician Letters have definitely done their job. I conclude the
rest is up to me to make the time for follow up…” - Dr. Daniel P.
